Current Electricity Important Questions|| What is equivalent Resistance|| Parallel combination
1. Give an example of an man alloy, in which the resistance and Stesistivity remain practically unchanged with increase in temperature.
Ans .Magarin in an example of an alloy that does not allow the resistance and resistivity remain particularly unchanged with increase in temperature.
2. Give an example of a substance in which resistance and resistivity decrease with increase in temperature?
Ans.Silion and Germanion .
3. What do you mean by Combination of resistence?
The current through an electrical circuit depends on the resistence of a circuit. So, to have a desired value of a current through a circuit , two or More resistances are connected together.
4. What is equivalent resistance?
The equivalent resistance defined as a common point or nodes where the total resistance are measured in series or parallels quivalent.
5.What is series Combination?
When two or more resistors are Connected end to end consecutively, then they are said to be series combination.
6. What is parallel combination?
When two or more resistors are connected between the same two points , then they are said to be connected in parallel combination.
7.Three resistors of resistances 10ohm, 20ohm, and 30 ohm, are connected in ever find their effective resistence.
Solution
Given:- R'-10 ohm, R"- 20ohm, and R'''- 30 ohm
When they are connected Series
Let, the effective resistance be R
Then, R= (R'+R"+R"')ohm
R=(10+20+30)ohm
R=60ohm.
8.A metal wire of resistence 6 ohm is stretched so that its length becomes double of its original length. What would be the final resistance?
Solutions:-
Actual length of Metal wire with Resistere (R): 6 ohm
Length of Metal wire with resistance when it is stretched
R"=2×6 ohm.
R" =12ohm
Final Resistance=(R'+R")ohm.
=(6+12)ohm
= 18ohm.
